Brittany Ferries supports a wide range of UK charities both national and local, but our focus is on charities with connections to our ports.
Support by way of free crossings is also given to D-Day veterans, many of whom like to revisit the beaches every June to pay their respects to friends who did not survive. We assist the RNLI by having collection boxes on board all our cruise-ferries and, in addition, help many small charities local to our ports, as well as schools and other organisations of value to the community.
Most support is given in the form of free or reduced rate travel used in raffles to raise funds.
Our aim is to be a responsible member of the community. We do not support individuals, religious, ethnic or political groups or third-party fundraising. We require at least 8 weeks’ notice for charity requests, so are unable to support spontaneous request such as ‘Jailbreaks’ or escape and evade university events.
Applying for support
Do not call either Reservations or the Press Office. Because of the large number of requests we receive, it is not possible to answer each one individually, so if you do not receive a reply within 4 weeks you can assume your application has not been successful.
If you have a cause you think we could help you support, please get in touch by writing on charity headed paper to:
