Can I travel on my own as a passenger with a disability or reduced mobility?
Travel by sea can be challenging and you may find that a travelling companion will make things easier for you when negotiating ramps, bulkheads and heavy sea doors.
Do I need to bring my own medical equipment and wheelchair?
Yes, please bring any medical equipment that you require, and your own wheelchair if necessary, with you.
Can I bring a pet when I am travelling as a passenger with a disability or reduced mobility?
Yes, you can bring your pet with you under the pets travel scheme. If you are bringing your assistance dog, please tell us at the time of booking.

Pets travelling on the PETS Travel Scheme can be booked online. If you need to book a pet travelling on an export license please call our Reservations Department on 021 4277 801.

As each one of our ships is different, our procedures may vary depending on where you're travelling to, and which ship you're travelling on.
What tick and tapeworm treatment do I need for my pet?
Tick and tapeworm treatment is not required for cats and ferrets but tapeworm treatment is required for dogs.

Due to our new health and safety measures, passengers must check-in at least 90 minutes before departure.

Quarantine regulations still apply to animals being brought into Ireland not travelling under the PETS passport scheme.
Does my dog need a muzzle when travelling?
Yes, your dog must be muzzled and on a lead whenever they are outside their owner's vehicle, during check-in and during any transfers on board.

No, you cannot take a pet if you are travelling as a foot passenger, nor if you are travelling with a bicycle or a motorcycle.
Can I still use an old-style pet passport?
Yes, you can still use an old-style pet passport as long as it was issued before 29 December 2014.

Can I arrange wheelchair assistance?
Disabled passengers should inform us, well in advance of their travel dates, of any special requirements. These must be clearly specified at the time of booking.
Can a child travel if they are not accompanied by a parent or guardian?
Children under 16 are only allowed to travel, without a parent or guardian, if they are accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.
Where can I find a deck plan of the ship?
You will find a deck plan for each ship on their individual ship guide page. It is a downloadable pdf.
What time do the food outlets open on board?
The opening times of our food outlets vary according to the ship's departure and arrival, and the length of the sailing. Exact opening times will be displayed outside each food outlet.
What is the ferry terminal postcode?
All the addresses, postcodes and phone numbers for our ports are on our contact us page. If you're looking for the co-ordinates for our ports, you'll find them on our port guides.
What is the difference between an inside and an outside cabin?
Our outside cabins have a small port-hole window whereas our inside cabins do not.
What cabin types are available on your ships?
We offer several types of on board accommodation from luxury cabins to reserved seats, which vary from ship to ship.
Is there a left luggage facility at the port?

Can I smoke on board?
All enclosed areas of our ships are non-smoking. Electronic cigarettes are also not permitted in these areas.
How much is the deposit on a ferry booking?
Our non-refundable deposit is 25% of the value of your booking. The full payment will be taken 60 days before your departure date.
Can I book online if my payment card expires before the balance is due?
If the credit/debit card expires before the payment is due, you may still use it, but we will debit the full amount at the time of booking.
Who should I contact if I have lost property on board or at the port?
If you believe that you have lost any property either onboard or at one of the ports, then please inform us of the details by completing our lost property form.

Connemara operates our simple but comfortable no-frills économie service between Cork and Santander in northern Spain as well as providing additional sailings between Cork and Roscoff.
Brittany Ferries' routes are approved by DAFM for participation in the PETS scheme. On these routes, this applies only to cats and dogs travelling between qualifying countries in the EU (Ireland, France and Spain).
